How You Can Help
On this Page: Update Your Contact Info | Volunteer to Help Lead | Join Your Alumni Association | Make a Modest Donation | Help Us Find Missing Brothers
Update Your Contact Info
The bedrock foundation of our DSP Alumni Assn.’s ability to keep our Brothers connected and informed is keeping records current! When you update your changed contact info, you help Brothers of your era find you and help us keep you in-the-loop about alumni and chapter news and issues.
It is especially important that you keep us informed about your current work/home email addresses and your home surface address! There are two ways you can accomplish this:
Send us this info electronically by clicking on Data Base Manager, or
Choose our one page printable form to fill out and surface mail to us.
Volunteer to Help Lead
The Alumni Association needs Brothers to help with publishing newsletters, computer searches for missing alums, data base management in Access, and a Treasurer or Assistant Treasurer. None of these require travel to SLO. Contact Ray “Mumbles” Calande, W’74, Alumni Assn. President, at raysdspaccnt@att.net.
Join Your Alumni Association
If you can’t volunteer, please help us with your Brotherhood from afar by becoming a $20 per year dues-paying Alumni Association member. We get nothing from ACB. These monies help us cover our minimum costs: paying for postage, printing, web site maintenance, scholarships and other character-building actions, and continuing our search for missing Brothers.
Every dollar of dues goes 100% to DSP – we’re volunteers. See how we’ve spent past dues and donations!
You can send dues in either of two ways:
Calling up a printable form and mailing it in with a check, or
Using our secure, on-line, Pay Pal system below
Make a Modest Donation
Besides becoming a member of our Epsilon Rho Alumni Association, you can donate to any number of worthwhile projects. These include:
Web Site Fund – to expand and customize the basic site we bought to better serve alums and preserve our unique history! |
Scholarship Fund – so we can encourage academics with a $1,000 grant to a deserving undergrad. |
60th Anniversary Gift – grand, framed, photos of our 3 chapter houses – lest they forget! |
ACB’s Capital Renovation Fund – so we can fix 37 years of wear and tear and save for a replacement House. |
Join your Brothers; help us continue our good works for you and Chapter! Send in dues and a few extra bucks because …… as of March 2009 - we’re fairly broke. The pie chart above tells it all. In 2008 we spent our money on printing and postage, a newsletter, building this alumni web site, preserving our unique colony/chapter photographic history by scanning old albums, and giving a $1,000 scholarship to an undergrad. Hellofa’ year. Can you help us rebuild?
Send in your Assn. dues, and donations, by either of two methods:
Using our secure, on-line, PayPal system, or
Calling up the printable form and mailing it in with your check.
Contributing By PAY-PAL:
Use a Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express card and our secure, on-line, PayPal account. It does NOT reveal your credit card number to us.
Procedure:
Click on PayPal or go on-line to PayPal.com
Click on the “Send Money” tab near the top left corner of the page
Then enter “dsp_at_calpoly@att.net” for the “To” address, your email in the “From” address, the amount, hit continue, and enter the balance of the info. It will look like this:

Contributing By Check:
If you prefer to use a check, please make it payable to DSP EP Alumni Association and surface mail it to us. Including this printable form helps us apply these funds where you want. Mail it to Beads, W’74, aka:

Help Us Find Missing Brothers
Please check your DSP email address book against our on-line directory and send us the email address you have on any missing alum. Please send this info to our Data Base Manager. Every Brother counts.
Were You Ever A Sailor in SLO?
Do you have a better picture of our chapter houses?

THANKS FOR 10 YEARS
From all of us who have volunteered at some time over the last 10 years to make our Delta Sig Alumni Association possible – our thanks! Thank you for your Brotherhood from afar in helping us find, connect, and inform our alumni, pay for this web site and newsletters, and help build better men at our chapter! Together our work continues!
